Pubic Hair Removal For Everyone
With the advent of smaller and skimpier bathing suits,
women the world over have been looking for a way to get rid of
unsightly hairs around what is commonly referred to as the bikini line.
Pubic hair removal can be accomplished a variety of ways, and it isn't
just for women, either. Anyone who wants to rid themselves of some or
all of their pubic hair can do so.
The first and most obvious choice for many people is shaving.
Unfortunately, though, there are some major drawbacks. Pubic hair
removal by way of shaving often leads to razor bumps and ingrown hairs,
which are even more unattractive than the hair was, not to mention
painful. And if the goal happened to be complete removal of the hair,
it is quite difficult to reach all of the areas in the pelvic region.
There are bound to be missed and uneven spots left after attempting
this messy option.
Waxing is something that has been increasing in popularity for pubic
hair removal, and not just at home; some salons now offer not only
bikini waxes, but also Brazilian waxes, meaning everything comes off.
The most glaring problem with this is that, unless you are completely
uninhibited, it may be slightly embarrassing to say the least, to
literally open it up for the waxer to see. In addition, waxing, which
works by coating the area with wax, applying a cloth strip, and pulling
it off, taking the hair completely out with it, does not provide the
most pleasant sensation. And waxing will not last forever; within two
to six weeks, you will have to go back for another application.
Moving on, the other choices for pubic hair removal include
electrolysis, which is performed by a specialist who inserts a needle
into each individual hair follicle; an electrical pulse travels through
the needle and zaps the hair follicle, destroying its capability to
produce another hair. According to those who have had this procedure,
the sensation is not all that unpleasant, though it can be quite
time-consuming. Nevertheless, this permanent option can mean freedom
from pubic hair for life. Of course, this is best for smaller areas,
since each hair follicle has to be treated individually.
Other permanent or semi-permanent pubic hair removal methods use laser
or flash lamp technology. These work by aiming the laser or flash lamp
at the area in need of treatment. The entire pubic region can be
targeted, not just the bikini line. Lasers and flash lamps use specific
wavelengths of light that eliminate first the hair pigment, and then
the follicle's production capability. Like electrolysis, this may
require more than one treatment, and it can be costly, too; permanent
options for pubic hair removal, though, are worth the costs, since the
hair is gone for good.
For complete or partial pubic hair removal, there is an assortment of
options out there. From shaving to waxing to laser beams, the hair can
come off for now or for good. Depending on what you want and how much
you are willing to invest, pubic hair removal can keep you from being a
slave to your bikini line.
