Permanent Hair Removal Systems

Hair removal options are so abundant that it can be overwhelming when trying to figure out which is the best option for your needs. When it comes to permanent hair removal, though, there are a few widely recognized tools that are proven to offer lasting results. Electrolysis, lasers, flash lamps, and even some oral medications are all on the market and offering permanent hair removal.

Be aware, first and foremost, that even if the treatment claims to offer permanent hair removal, you may need to have continuous treatments to inhibit the hair from growing back. For example, electrolysis works by destroying the hair and the follicle; however, each individual hair follicle must be treated, meaning that this can be quite time-consuming.
Nonetheless, this option is a great choice for permanent hair removal, because most people who have this done experience few to none hair re-growths. Electrolysis works as a permanent hair removal system by the insertion of a needle into the hair follicle, followed by an electrical pulse that in effect zaps the follicle, making it unable to produce new hairs. This is probably the best option for someone who needs permanent hair removal on the face, like between the eyebrows or on the upper lip. This is also a nice choice for bikini areas or the underarms.

However, if you need a larger area treated for permanent hair removal, then perhaps you should consider laser hair removal. This works on larger areas, and basically means that a laser is pointed at the area and the hair follicles are rendered useless. Lasers are particularly good at removing the hair from dark haired people. Sometimes, as with any hair removal, light, fine hairs may resurface. Nonetheless, for a permanent hair removal solution, lasers are a good option.

Another permanent hair removal solution is the use of flash lamps. These work much like lasers; the lamp is focused on the area of hair to be removed, and low levels of radiation are directed at the follicles. With a few zaps, the hair follicles are destroyed and the hair is gone, likely to never re-grow in its original form. Again, this option is great for dark, coarser hairs that just will not respond to razors and waxes. For permanent hair removal, flash lamp treatments may have to be repeated over the course of several weeks or months, but patients will find that the results are astounding.

Finally, prescription medications from a physician have been shown to inhibit hair growth for some. The drawbacks here, though, are that, with the pill form, all hair is inhibited from growing. Also, once the treatment stops, the hair may re-grow. Likewise, a cream medication that is applied directly to the areas of unwanted hair can work for many people, but again, once treatment stops, the hair can return.

In the end, permanent hair removal systems are out there, and it just takes a bit of consideration on your part to determine the best course of action for your needs. If you are looking for permanent hair removal that will require the minimum amount of treatments, then consider the electrolysis, laser, or flash lamp options. Remember, though, that any of these permanent hair removal choices may require more than one treatment, but no matter which you choose, permanent hair removal can be yours.
